CRANBERRY SAUCE

Ingredients

1/4 cup packed dark brown sugar

1/2 cup fresh orange juice (about 2 oranges)

zest of two oranges

1/4 cup water

1 1/2 tablespoons honey

1/8 teaspoon ground allspice

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

1 (12-ounce) package fresh cranberries


Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat; bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat, and simmer 12-15 minutes or until mixture is slightly thickened, stirring occasionally.
  3. Cool completely and store in freezer or fridge for 3-4 days.
